Team S.A.M Grant Recipients

Congratulations to these incredible organizations that are providing access to sports for underserved youth in Washington State! Your commitment to empowering young people through sports is truly commendable, and we are proud to support your work.

2023 Recipients:

Northwest Association of Blind Athletes: NWABA’s adaptive sports and youth-development programming area offers individuals who are blind or have visual impairments opportunities to participate in a variety of physical activities. These weekly events serve as opportunities for youth to build self-esteem, independence, and community among their peers.

Spokane Youth Sports Association: A non-profit that aims to provide sports activities for all youth where everyone plays, develops skills, is taught good sportsmanship, and learns the value of being a team player.

One Roof Foundation: In partnership with Seattle Kraken, One Roof Foundation creates access and opportunity in hockey and life for underserved and BIPOC youth and communities.

DJH Kids and Community Center (DBA Ilwaco Youth Sports): A nonprofit that aims to strengthen the foundations of its community by offering developmental programs that connect youth with mentors and leaders, by providing access to facilities which afford the community the opportunity to engage in recreational, sports-related, and community-driven activities in a fun environment, and to foster, nourish, and provide for the safety, health, and welfare of youth.
