Applications for the fourth quarter of 2024 NOW CLOSED

1st Quarter 2025 Application will open January 1st.

 Q4 2024 grant applications will be reviewed in December/January.

Recipients will be notified in January/February.

Program eligibility requirements:

To be eligible for Team S.A.M, organizations must:

  • Be designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

  • Provide services to program participants without a fee.

  • Conduct national criminal background checks for all employees and volunteer mentors who work with children.

  • Have staff trainings implemented around standards for care, health and safety.

  • Eligible organizations must assist children with enrolling in sports through their parents, guardians, or coach.

Chosen organizations will have the opportunity to invite their students to participate in the Washington State Leadership Board monthly Leadership Training Sessions specifically focused on leadership development through sports and outdoor activity.

The maximum amount distributed per grant application will be $5,000.

Chosen organizations will be required to provide a report on the use of funds and how they have fulfilled the mission and goals of the program.

Priority must be given to students facing economic hardship.
